The Influence of Social Group Participation and Experience of Giving and Volunteering on Life Satisfaction: Focusing on Mediating Effect of Trust

Abstract
The objective of this study was to verify the mediating effect of trust regarding a social group on the relationship among social group participation, experience of giving and volunteering activity and life satisfaction. To achieve the goal, ¡®2010 Seoul Welfare Panel Survey Data¡¯ was utilized for analysis. SPSS were applied in technical statistics, and the Regression Analysis was performed. The results of the study were as follows: (1) our society¡¯s non-official¤ýofficial social group participation demonstrated a considerably low action level (2) health and income had the greatest influence on life satisfaction (3) when social group participation is low, social satisfaction and life satisfaction were positively mediated by trust. However, trust did not mediate the experience of giving and volunteering and life satisfaction. The confirmation that trust is an excreted that raises life satisfaction as a mediator between social group participation and life satisfaction is very significant. Based on these findings, I propose some political and practical plans to improve life satisfaction through social group participation and trust elevations.
